Cook with the healthiest fat out there - Grass-fed beef tallow. It brings a rich flavor to your food and is perfect medium to cook with on your cast iron, the grill, or any type of you like to cook in. Great for baking as well. Use this tallow as a healthy alternative to vegetable and seed oils, which are usually tainted with solvents by way of industrial processing.

This is a triple-filtered tallow, made from 100% grass-fed beef suet (cow fat), all sourced locally here in Utah. Hand-rendered, in small batches. 

This tallow is rendered on low heat, and utilizes hand collected spring water collected from the Uintah mountains and Redmond salt to purify this tallow in a wet rendering process. The process is slow and qualitative, leaving a purified, nutrient-rich, scent free, extremely clean cooking tallow. It is pure white, extremely dense, and lasts a long time.

Nutritional Benefits: Tallow is a rich sourc of NATURAL vitamin A/D/E/K, omega-3 fatty acids (of the SN2 position, only found in animal derived DHA/EPA), conjugated linoleic acid and so much more. These are essential brain and nervous system nutrients for the human, supporting healthy brains, hearts, connective tissue, and cell walls.

Benefits of cooking with tallow: This saturated animal fat is a very stable fat and remains counter & shelf-stable for 1 year (and will likely last longer). No need to refrigerate. Because of the quality rendering process and the nature of a saturated animal fat, it is NOT prone to oxidation and rancidity like typical vegetable and seed oils. Tallow has a high smoke point, which makes it a perfect medium to cook any meal with, especially in high-heat cooking on a cast iron pan or grill. It brings a full and rich flavor to your meat and vegetables, and enhances anything is cooked in.

How to use: Use a clean spoon when scooping out. Everytime.

For the cast iron - Scoop out what you think is necessary to season your pan, using a clean spoon to keep the remaining tallow in the jar clean. 

For the grill - Melt a few scoop fulls of tallow in a pan, and then brush the tallow on your cuts of meat and your vegetables, and then season. You can also brush some of the tallow on the bars of the grill as well.

For baking - Use as a replacement for crisco or other lubing agents that are usually lined inside a baking tin. Feel free to replace tallow for recipes that call for vegetable oil, such as canola.
