It seems that more than ever, adults and children are suffering more and more from allergies, irritations, skin issues, and even ailments/diseases that never existed 20, 50, 100 years ago. There is no question in my mind that is has very much to do with the types of products we create and utilize in our daily life.

Every single day, the modern human slathers on a slough of endocrine disrupting chemicals that exist in their shampoo, conditioner, face wash, moisturizers, deodorants, perfumes, colognes, detergents and air fresheners. More than likely, if it has a good smelling scent to it, it is a fake and chemical-laden scent, or it is something that was once natural, but has undergone an industrial process, which depletes nutrition due to high heating, and also has been exposed to solvents and other questionable chemicals that our body has no business having in it, on it, or around it.

If it goes on your skin, in your mouth, or in the air you breathe, it is being absorbed in you. While the FDA may approve of these products and has deemed them safe and under toxic thresholds, it is a cumulative effect of using many products that burdens our organs and immune system.

Where did we go wrong? I believe it was when we began recreating what nature has already delivered us, and using questionable and industrial processes to formulate something to sell the masses. And this is more evident than ever with the cosmetics we use.

Our grandparents and great grandparents used to cook and moisturize with stable saturated fats, namely tallow, that provided a complex of vitamins and omega 3 fatty acids to cater to the health of our oral and skin microbiome. But, as the industrial reovlution pressed on, we began to wage war on saturated fats, claiming they were terrible for our health, which led the way to processing highly oxidizeable plant oils to replace tallow for cooking and moisturizing. It was a war on real food and real products, all to be able to sell more products (at the expense of the modern humans health).

There is no question that we have become worse as a species over the last many decades, with kids becoming weaker and less adaptable, testosterone levels dropping nearly 1% every year for the last 50 years, especially with the amount of pharmaceuticals kids are being fed and injected with from early ages. It is absolute madness, and we are so lost because we have gotten away from nature with all this industrial processing. We need to do less.
