THIS IS A HEAT SENSITIVE PRODUCT. To avoid separation and potential bacterial growth, please consider the following:
This product contains water, and has been emulsified together with the fats and oils of this cream and contains no binding agent/preservative.
Water is what allows the magnesium chloride to dissolve from its initial crystalline form and able to assimilate into the product (oils and fats will not break down the magnesium crystals).
While it can be suggested to add a preservative/binding agent to help prevent the emulsified water and oil from separating, I find these preservatives to be unclean, potentially toxic, and taking away from the product's integrity. This product does NOT contain a preservative.
STABLE AT ROOM TEMP - This product remains very stable and will not separate when kept at room temperature (or cooler) temperatures.
THIS PRODUCT CAN SEPARATE WHEN HEATED - Please avoid keeping this jar in your car or any areas that would heat this whipped magnesium cream.
When a product separates, and the water and oil are no longer emulsified, the presence of water creates an opportunity for bacteria to grow in the jar.
Keeping this product out of the sun and away from zones that would cause large fluctuations in product temperature is key.
If desired, keep this product refrigerated and it this is the absolute best method to make this product last.
